Congresswoman Joyce Beatty graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Central State University, received her Master of Science degree from Wright State in 1975, and completed all but her dissertation for a doctorate at the University of Cincinnati. She also has received two honorary doctoral degrees from Ohio Dominican University and Central State University.

Mary E. Leal, M.A., began her career as Fairborn, Ohio's first female police cadet in 1971. Mary has also worked as a supervisory case manager at Montgomery County Children's Services where she acted as a caseworker supervisor, the law enforcement liaison and teamed in founding the Sexual Abuse Response Team and Children's Medical Center. In 1983, she joined the Dayton Police Department as a sworn peace officer and instructor. She earned a Master of Arts in Applied Behavioral Science, Criminal Justice and Social Problems, from Wright State University in 2002.

Caroline Cao received her PhD in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from the University of Toronto in 2002. She is Professor of Biomedical, Industrial and Human Factors Engineering at Wright State University and Ohio Research Scholar in the Ohio Imaging Research and Innovation Network, a consortium of three universities in the State of Ohio (Wright State University, Case Western Reserve University, and the Ohio State University) for the creation of intellectual property, commercialization, and job creation in Ohio in the field of medical imaging through research and education.

Cristina Redko, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of community health at Boonshoft School of Medicine. Dr. Redko serves as the director for the global health concentration in the Master of Public Health Program where she teaches global health and global health systems. Dr. Redko has been working at Wright State University since 2003.

Dr. Menart is currently a professor in the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at Wright State University. Dr. Menart received his B.S. degree from the University of North Dakota, M.S. degree from the University of Illinois, and Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Menart has made significant contributions in the area of education and research. First and foremost, Dr. Menart has developed the first Renewable and Clean Energy Engineering Master's Degree Program in the state of Ohio – one of the few of these types of programs in the country.
