March 28, 2014 Amigos Latinos Gala

It's a great time for Dayton and the Latino community. Wright State has created the Office for Latino Affairs, the first of its kind in the state of Ohio, and an alumni society, Amigos Latinos de Wright State Alumni is in the process of forming. Tony Ortiz, associate vice president for Latino Affairs, along with the founding members of the Amigos Latinos de Wright State Alumni have already been hard at work with plans for an annual gala.
February 26, 2014 Model United Nations Teaching and Learning to be Globally Aware and Engaged

Wednesday, March 5, at noon, Student Union, Room E163A

The Model UN program has resulted in the highest recognition possible for 34 consecutive years, competing against as many as 250 teams from around the world.

Donna M. Schlagheck, Ph.D., chairperson of the Department of Political Science and faculty sponsor for the past 26 years, will explain the program's success and how the experience has benefited the students who participate. The 2014 head delegates, Hanna Tarbert and Kuyer Fazekas, will present student perspectives.
February 26, 2014 Wright State among top universities for Industrial organizational psychology

Wright State University is among the top third of universities worldwide in faculty research productivity in the field of industrial organizational (I-O) psychology, a new study shows.

Wright State ranks No. 20 out of 62 universities with I-O psychology Ph.D. programs, according to I-O psychology researchers at Auburn University. The findings were published in The Industrial-Organizational Psychologist, the newsletter for the Society for Industrial Organizational Psychology.

In February of 2010 the team of dedicated social work alumni established an alumni scholarship that financially supports one to three social work students annually.
