It's a great time for Dayton and the Latino community. Wright State has created the Office for Latino Affairs, the first of its kind in the state of Ohio, and an alumni society, Amigos Latinos de Wright State Alumni is in the process of forming. Tony Ortiz, associate vice president for Latino Affairs, along with the founding members of the Amigos Latinos de Wright State Alumni have already been hard at work with plans for an annual gala.
This annual Amigos Latinos Alumni Gala will support the success of Latino students at Wright State and in the Dayton area. All proceeds from the event will support scholarships for Wright State Latino students and El Puente Learning Center. Please save the date and join Amigos Latinos de Wright State Alumni for dinner, dancing, and music by Son Del Caribe.
